The Meade ETX-90 & ETX-125 I had...

ETX-90EC on tripod ETX-90EC ETX-90EC with 2x Barlow
Both of them are quite decent little telescopes, great for viewing, but because of the ETX-90EC's 90mm clear aperture, it seemes to loose good picture quality at around 120X magnification. I took some photographs to show what they are kind of capable of, using the new SONY Digital Mavica through the 26mm SPlossl eyepiece.
Have a look at my astro-photoes!

I had a field-tripod which proved to be well-suited for the task of keeping the ETX on its place... We also had the 2X Barlow lens to increase magnification (see arrow on picture above)...

One thing I learnt so far, the vibration caused by the shutter of the camera is significant. As a matter of fact, it totally ruins the picture. So, next time, I cover the scope with a black cardbox-paper, open the shutter, remove the black paper and before closing the shutter I shall do the same trick in the future...
