How to brake most efficiently

With the help of my little onboard computer, I ran some data collection
to determine how to brake to generate the most energy. I went from ~40 mph
to ~5mph and recorded the generated current / voltage under different but even
braking styles. Using the collected data, the appropriate integrals were calculated .
The below graph summarizes my measurements.

As it can be seen from the graph, the most efficient braking happens
around brake pedal value 17 ( as available on the CAN ), which translates
to about 22 seconds from 45mph to 5mph if you don't have access to the
raw data. It is a gentle, but firm push on the brake pedal.
Here is the spreadsheet from which the graph was derived from.
